Patient Testimonial

“Robert Vena, a talented, dedicated to the healing of others, totally on top-of-his-game practitioner. I met Rob a couple/few years ago.

One of the things that struck me most about him was his concern for the comfort of the patient. Another was/is how he explains how the emotions and psychological situations in a patient’s/client’s life go hand in hand w/where in the body it is carrying the ‘weight’ so to speak.

The main thing is that on his table, in his presence I/one feels safe, cared for and with someone who not only knows his craft but continues to study. He strives to be better to make us better. I have been blessed to have been guided to this amazing healer’s hands.”

Stress is something that everyone experiences in life. It can affect our overall health (both physical and emotional), and have a negative impact on many other aspects of our daily lives. It is important to remember that all of our body systems can be impacted by stress, and that it is not simply limited to one area of the body. Following, are just some of the symptoms associated with stress:

  • Easy agitation
  • Upset stomach
  • Loss of sex drive
  • Frequent infections
  • Chest pain
  • Clenched jaw
  • Constant worrying
  • Forgetfulness
  • Poor judgement
  • Increased alcohol or substance use
  • Loss of appetite

While this may seem like a long list, it is just a small sampling of the many symptoms that can be associated with stress. It is generally safe to say, that if you are experiencing two or more of the symptoms listed above, you may be suffering from some sort of stress.

Common Causes of Stress

There are many different causes that can lead to stress. From life changing events to increased responsibilities or traumatic events, different circumstances can contribute to stress and/or create a stressful environment. It all depends on the person, and their ability to handle the stress. Some individuals are better equipped to deal with high stress situations, while others simply cannot cope under such circumstances. We are all different, and we all handle stress in a different way. Some of the common causes of stress include:

  • Health issues
  • Emotional issues
  • Major life changes
  • Family problems
  • Difficult social situations
  • Work related situations
  • Traumatic events

It is important to understand the cause of your stress before you can gain any real relief from it. Finding the root of the problem is a very important part of being able to deal with and conquer the stress in your life. Therefore, the first step towards true stress relief lies in identifying the cause.

Treating Stress with Acupuncture

Everyone deals with stress differently. Some find it helpful to speak with a therapist, some immerse themselves in hobbies or activities, while others may turn to drug and/or alcohol abuse.

One of the easiest and most popular ways of dealing with stress is through use of the centuries-old, Chinese medical practice of acupuncture.

Acupuncture is a quick and easy method that does not require many lifestyle changes. It is a safe and virtually pain-free method for ridding yourself of the unwanted effects of stress without the damaging side effects caused by many pharmaceuticals.

Acupuncture can help you to face your problems head-on and deal with stress as it arises. Using an Acupuncturist for stress management can be a very relaxing experience that can help you to better handle your stress.
Acupuncture can help unblock any life-energy, or Qi, that may be stuck within your system. Such blockages may be causing you to experience the varying symptoms of stress that can leave you feeling strung-out. Once your Qi is flowing freely again, it can help you to feel calmer and more relaxed.

There are many stress treatments that you can choose from. But many of these treatments are unrealistic, don't work the way they claim to, or come with side effects that can be harmful to your overall health. Medication, drugs, and alcohol do nothing more than mask the symptoms of your stress. And, they usually come with unpleasant side effects that can be uncomfortable and damaging to your system. Most do nothing at all to actually relieve the stress.

Choosing a NJ Acupuncturist for stress management is one of the best options available to help you manage your stress. Acupuncture has been shown to be a proven and effective method for stress management, and it does not come with any side effects. It is a holistic modality that does not harm other parts of the body while helping to eliminate the symptoms of stress.
Acupuncture stress treatments in New Jersey can be helpful for the the fast-paced lifestyle and high pressures associated with living and working in this area. It can be very difficult,if not impossible, to eliminate all of the factors that are contributing to your daily level of stress.
